Let’s face it, these tips for conversation are important because if you want to be a master attractor as a network marketer, mastering the art of communication and conversation is ‘Dead Vital.’  Because, look. I know you are brilliant, you know you are brilliant, and we can both agree that your opportunity is the greatest thing since sliced bread!  But nobody will ever know it if they aren’t open to hearing it. The answer is, opening people up to what you have to say starts in the mind of your prospect, not your own mind.

In the industry of network marketing, your product is not those soap, vitamins, collectible coins, or jungle juice—it’s not PEOPLE either.  Your product is YOU and whatever the person you are talking to SAYS it is.  The key here is understanding how to conduct a conversation so you can invite and trigger people to start spilling the beans on what they need to buy.  And it simpler than you think…and as with most of what I teach… the fortune is in the DOING not the difficulty!

Tips For Conversation #1- It’s Not About You

How many times have we gotten so excited about a particular topic or are so proud about what we have achieved on a particular topic that we end up throwing up on people.

“Oh you said surfing!  I love to surf.  As a matter of fact I love to surf so much that I really wanted to spend more time surfing, so I needed more free time.  And you like to surf, I love to surf too and I finally found the time to surf because of this incredible home based business opportunity.  If you like to surf, and want more time to do it, you should definitely look at what I’m doing, does 6 o’clock or 7 o’clock tomorrow best for you?”

Don’t worry, if you’ve been in the game long enough we’ve all done it at some point.  But the solution here is to be a master of asking questions.  Not just ANY questions, and NOT just guided questions.  The questions you ask should be “in the moment.”  In these tips for conversation, Everything you ask should use the prospect’s own words and phrases.  For example, your prospect says “I love apples.” you pause for a second because #1: It allows you to put together the exact words they used, and #2: it shows that you are listening! Now you respond “Love apples, John? Yum!  What kind of apples do you like?”

Of course we could have a 10-hour training on these conversational tactics, but you should see what I mean.  The end-goal for these tips for conversation is to respond positively to what your prospect is saying and digging deeper by inviting them to share more.  And it’s simple, as they share more, it becomes more and more clear what they need you to sell them.  Now, more on being positive one of the best mlm tips.

Tips For Conversation #2- Don’t Be a ‘Downer’

I am blessed to have a lot of friends in my life, that I love and am always inviting new people of all backgrounds and interests into my life.  As Dale Carnegie says, I like to have a genuine interest in other people.  There is something to love about everyone, everything that happens can life is an opportunity, and with all the things to appreciate in this world, why be negative?

Basically, as a wise person said: “The wind blows on all of us, but it’s how we set our sails that makes the difference.”  From these tips for conversation, what reality do you want?  Happiness?  Then set your sails for happiness—all of your sails, because life is always giving you what you ask for.  If your attitude is crap, then wind smells like crap when it blows off of you!

Do you want to be likable?  Then don’t ever talk down about your prospect’s interests or anyone else.  You want to bring people up!  You want people to walk away from you whether it’s a prospecting conversation, a video presentation, an article, or an e-mail feeling “better off.”  The goal in this second tip is NOT to make people like YOU, it is to make people like themselves.  “People never forget how you made them feel.” Be positive.

Tips For Conversation #3- Avoiding Jealousy

Now, listen, this is the most important tip of all for two major reasons.  Number one: Jealousy actually repels the results you want in life, and Number two: Jealousy makes you unable to give gratification to other people.  Let me put it this way: ‘How much would you be willing to share about your love of cars with someone who says “I don’t know how people drive in these expensive cars! All they do is get you from point A to point B.”  Compare that with “These cars are really unique John; are you at all into cars?”

You can also look at jealousy this way.  Not only is it negative, but look at what it does to your own mind.  You are literally creating a negative association with something that you want!  I don’t know about you, but if I want something I celebrate it!  How can you talk down about a person who has a result that you want if you, yourself, aspire to BE that person?  Positivity is the heart and soul of these tips for conversation.

As I said before, life is always giving you what you ask for—so keep those sails pointed to how you want your life to be: full of happiness and friendships.  So every time you want to be jealous, turn it instead to a positive affirmation that—hey, if they can do it, then so can I!

“Women believe success and likability are positively correlated.” So the more people like you, the more successful you are.  And this is absolutely the case in the network marketing industry.  So what is this “likeability” thing anyway, and how do successful women entrepreneurs use it?  Well, let me tell you what it is NOT.  Likability is NOT shrinking down, or holding back to make other people happy. Marianne Williamson says it perfectly in her book “A Return to Love:”

“You are a child of God.  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightened [or likeable] about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine, as children do.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

So, I don’t know about you, but what that tells me is if you want to be “likeable” give yourself permission to run as fast as you want, far as you want, as loud as you want, and if anybody tries to slow you down, they aren’t “man” enough or even worth your time.  You are powerful, you are unstoppable, and this world needs you not only to KNOW right, but to DO right—and DO it right Now!

What is team takeover and who are you?  Even if you think you know the answer, the glaring truth is clear—you are everyone.  And by believing that you are everyone, and understanding how to capitalize on it, you will make a lot of money in your network marketing business.

All of us on this planet, no matter what your language, skin color, religion or favorite pizza toppings, has a dream of freedom.  And what we choose to do with that freedom is our own prerogative.  The more important thing is understanding what is keeping us from getting that freedom, and for most it’s two things:

1)      Your mind has been trained to be trapped within your comfort zone (which usually is NOT too comfortable)

Network Marketing Tip #1: Go Get it!

It’s the best network marketing tip I could ever give you, my friend: if you want success in your network marketing business, and if you want success in life, you HAVE to go and GET it.  There is nothing in life that comes free.  About 95% of all the success I get in network marketing and internet marketing comes from when I actually go out and GET the business.

The brass ring in life is achieved by those who take the action steps and “keep chugging” as Donald Trump says.  Day after day, I create content, send e-mails, do prospecting, network with professionals, and build my business.  And here is the big question: Do I always see results from every single thing that I do?

And the answer is: NO.  Even when I sent out an e-mail that promotes some of the absolute BEST products that have changed my life, I’ll get the occasional “complainer” who believes that I am just trying to get my hand in their pocket!  It’s actually very funny. The best network marketing tip I can give you is this:

Network Marketing Tip #2: Ignore Negativity

If you really want to stay positive and keep the momentum going in your network marketing business, you have to ignore people who are negative complainers.  It is a simple fact that if you want to grow into a leader, you MUST commit to investing in yourself personally and professionally. And that is a network marketing tip that lasts a lifetime.

The absolute best investment you can make is to invest in your knowledge. And the old cliche is right: Knowledge is power.  When you find the right mentor that has the results that you want, do everything that they say– without any hesitation.

There are a lot of fake bozos out there who do not get results.  It is always good to have a little bit of skepticism.  But it is also true that there is no guru out there– EVEN myself– that can say things or do things in the perfect way to sweep away all your skepticism.  Which brings up my next network marketing tip:

Network Marketing Tip #3: The Decision is Yours

When you make up your mind to follow a mentor and take action, DO NOT, I repeat– DO NOT hesitate or do things “half-assed.”  When you develop the confidence to take ANY action, especially in business, you must take action with “reckless abandon.”  So what does that mean?

What I mean by reckless abandon is this old “cliche:” Relaxed Intensity. When I make the decision to carry-out an action plan, or call my leads, or take part in a business venture, I do not let anything slow me down or stop me.  Do I always get the results I want? Eventually. Do I get people that hang up on me? Sometimes.  Do I close EVERYONE that I send to a presentation–Absolutely not!

But do I even doubt for second that I will fall short of my ultimate goal in life (time freedom and empowering people to live abundantly)? Hell no!  The take-away here is to understand that you CAN, to understand that you WILL, and to understand that it takes time. Here is network marketing tip #4…

We are NOT designed to blindly follow directions of others working our asses off to make somebody else rich, believe me.  Commit to learn network marketing, developing, and growing; and I guarantee, you will fall in love with it and you will transform yourself forever.  So let’s talk about exactly what kind of learning you should be focused on.

To Learn Network Marketing- Master Your Business Model

Your business is a living, growing, baby birdie.  Tweet Tweet!   I’m not kidding you…just like a baby bird, and when you first begin to learn network marketing, and when your home business is brand new, it always crying and whining and begging for attention.  Seems like baby birds are useless doesn’t it?  They eat; they poop; and they cry.  So what do you do with that crying birdie?  You feed it.

You feed your business early on with new vital skill sets (vitamins and minerals) that are essential to success.  And quite honestly there are just three main skillsets that you need and I’m going give to here and now.  Developing these skills early on is vital and nothing that you do in the future will matter if these things are not in place. So here are the three things you need to learn network marketing.

First, you need to get leads to talk to.  You will accomplish this by getting Magnetic Sponsoring . Second, you need to know how to close those leads into your opportunity. The perfect example is this: Imagine a guy named Bob who learns of this cool new lead generating tool and after analyzing it for weeks finally decides to get it, thinking “This thing better better as good as they say it is!”  Bob sets it up according to the basic instructions and sits back and doesn’t see any results! (surprise, surprise, right?) So of course Bob blames the entire industry for his failures and becomes one of the 90%.

Now let’s take a look at a lady named Tracey.  Tracey read a book by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich, and sees this same lead generating tool and says to herself “Damn it, I’m going to learn network marketing and MAKE it work.  I see the proof, and I am going to make it happen for me, too!”  Of course she didn’t see the results she wanted right away, so she looked at each part of her new system, and made each part better, then it started working!

Seeing leads start coming in, Tracey got super excited and developed some additional skillsets that helped her do what she was already doing a lot better and more efficiently (super hint, hint!)  Before she knew it, she was sharing her success with her team and giving shining testimonials for the new product.

Did You Get it?

Control Your Mind and Grab Your Life By the Horns

Every day, and at all levels in this industry I run into people who have an excuse for just about everything. I don’t have enough time, I don’t have enough money, I need to think about it, I need to wait for this, and I need to wait for that. The fact is, if you look for an excuse, you can find it in just about everything that you do.

Eliminating excuses from everything that you do inside of your life will be the best first step of grabbing your life by the horns and achieving the success that you want inside of your life. You need to adapt a mindset; a mindset that “I can if I want to!” There is nothing in this world that can control your life; only YOU can control your life, and the decisions that you make, and the decision that you make after listen to this will be a direct reflection on your bank account.

Belief Is Everything Grab Life By the Horns

When you ask yourself the question “what do you believe in,” there is no wrong answer — but what can be wrong is what you decide to do based on your beliefs. If you perceive that you have a fear of something, that is okay; but running away from that fear is wrong. If you perceive that you have had a failure in your life, that is okay; but using that as a reason to give up on your dreams is the wrong answer. And that is what makes it wrong.

The fact is, in your life. There is always going to be something that doesn’t work out the way that you wanted to work. The only guarantee on the road to success is failure. In MLM sponsoring and prospecting to create solutions for people, it’s true what they say: “it is as much as what you say as how you say it.”  Today we are going to dive deep into the psychology of prospecting. We are going to peel away the layers of your prospect, and reveal a red bull’s-eye on exactly how to deliver your opportunity powerfully and effectively.

Neuro-linguistic Programming- Hypnotic Language…

It is a fact that it is an uphill battle to win the heart and the trust of your leads. You don’t know them, they don’t know you (unless you have a network marketing system).  So, in MLM sponsoring it is really important that you build rapport with your prospects and make them comfortable.  And you can learn how to do that by mastering this script first.

But after that, you’re going to need some very sneaky ninja moves to reveal exactly what is really on your prospects mind.  What I’m about to share with you is, the questions between the questions. The often overlooked, but most powerful questions that you ask your prospect and literally hypnotize them to “follow the leader.”

Many people have a type of script that they use to do their prospecting, well, and if you don’t have one already, here it is.  With many of the prospecting scripts that you probably use out there. Your constantly told not to say things word for word, and to really make the script your own and say things the way that you would say it. But what I’m about to reveal to you right now is exactly word for word, what you’re going to use.  So, here we go!

In MLM Sponsoring, Don’t Move Forward until You Get the Answer You Want

All the time, in MLM sponsoring, prospects give answers that are very indirect and nonspecific. You want to get specific answers. That way, you can deliver specific solutions. Here is the perfect example of what your prospect might say: “… And stuff like that.” And here‘s your response: “Stuff, John. What is it about that stuff?”  And your prospect responds: “and that stuff, you know, it never works for me.” And here’s your response: “and that stuff that didn’t work John. What is it about that stuff that didn’t work?”

Pretty darn ninja isn’t it?

You see, not only are you peeling away the layers from your prospect and really getting into their mind and into the brain. But you are actually training your prospect to answer your questions, and you’re getting them in the rhythm to follow the leader. And if you notice the way I said, the lines above, I always used the prospects own words to respond.  Here’s how to close that topic.

Tying up All the Loose Ends

A lot of the times your prospects will leave stuff out, and as you get more practice, you’ll have a sixth sense about when there’s more to the story than what your prospect is telling you. So check this example.  So, let’s say your prospect finishes talking about something. Here is what you say: “is there anything else about that stuff?” Important note — when I say “stuff” that is where you insert the exact words that your prospect used. Mirroring your prospect is vital in MLM sponsoring.

Now, that question is huge, because when you ask that question. It opens the door for your prospect to start sharing more of themselves.  At this point, will start talking and talking and talking and end up delivering exactly what it will take to close them.  And also, make sure you’re taking notes of everything that they are saying, because you’ll want to use their own words if they give any objections.

We will get back to these objections in just a second. But first let’s talk about the golden question of all.

The Most Powerful Close You’ll Ever Make in MLM Sponsoring

So, now you are at the point where the prospects review of their problem to you. And as soon as you figure out what it is, immediately ask them this question: “And when problem happens, What would you like to have happen?” And note– when I say problem, insert the exact words that your prospect used to describe the problem in their life that they are struggling with. (i.e: hate their boss, time freedom, work at home).

Understand, my friend that this question is very, very powerful. You should only use it when you are absolutely certain that you have peeled away the layers and got exactly to the hearts of what your prospect needs in their life. In MLM sponsoring, when the prospect starts to spill the beans, is called the “fraudulent slip.”

And here is how to tie it all together once you have their answer. So let’s use this as an example: you asked your prospect: “and when you go into that job that you hate, what would you like to have happen?” And then your prospect responds: “I wish I wouldn’t have to work there anymore.”  Okay now your weapon is loaded, and here’s how you deliver it powerfully…

You respond: “So John, if I told you that there was a way that you can leave that job you hate, and be your own boss so you wouldn’t have to work there anymore, would you be interested in knowing what that was?”

And BOOMSKI! You will get a “Yes” almost every single time.

A Brief Word on Objections…

Now, remember when I was talking about objections? Objections are basically when your prospect gives you some sort of excuse as to why they are not interested. Assuming you done all that I said above. You should have more than enough ammunition to deliver a powerful response that goes like this: “Remember, John. When you shared with me that you were sick of your boss and you didn’t want to work there anymore?” They say yes. “Is that still true?” They say yes. “So then you’re ready to see our presentation?” They say yes.  Book them for a presentation and move onward!  You Won!

Instead, make sure you are shaking hands with as many different people as you can—and wear a genuine smile on your face—personality has never been more important than in network marketing today.  At an event I recently went to in Las Vegas, Nevada, I was amazed by many of the “newbie” network marketers out there with grumpy looks on their face (they were taking this way too seriously).   This is a very lucrative business that requires skill and hardwork; however, people come into this industry to have fun—so smile, break the ice, and enjoy the process!

Let me tell you a little story about myself…When I first got into marketing on the internet, it almost became a game of traffic, numbers and conversions (that’s pretty much what it is).  The only time I would actually “talk” to a person directly was during an instant messaging session or by answering an e-mail.  To tell you the truth, I wasn’t always such a good marketer and connector—I never picked up the phone!
